1728/2 = 864

864/2 =432

432/2 = 216

216/2 = 108

108/2 = 54

54/2 = 27

27/3 = 9

9/3 = 3

3/3= 1,     2^2 x 2^2 x 2^2 x 3^2 x 3, ignore exponents of 2, 2x2x2x3x3= 72 but 72x72 is not equal to 1728, therefore your root is a decimal fraction and cant be calculated using prime factor/ ladder method.
