(x + 3y)(x^2 - 3xy + 9y^2), expanding we have

= x^3 - 3x^2y + 9xy^2 + 3x^2y - 9xy^2 + 27y^3

= x^3 + 27y^3

OR by inspection this is sum of 2 cubes factorized form, hence you can directly derive the sum x^3 + 27y^3
