1. If y=x^n then dy/dx=nx^n-1(general rule) 2.If y=uv then dy/dx=udv/dx+vdu/dx (product rule) 3. If y=u/v then dy/dx=(vdu/dx-udv/dx)/v^2 (quotient rule) 4. If y=u^n then dy/dx = dy/du.du/dx (chain rule)
