x^2 = y^2 +  z^2 (pythagorean theorem)

x^2 = (300)^2 + (400)^2

x^2 = 160000 + 90000

x^2 = 250000

x = $\sqrt{250000}$

x = 500 mph

    =160000+90000

    =250000
