An Egyptian pyramid has a square base and four triangular faces. Use clay or Play- Doh to make a pyramid model. If you make different "plane cuts" through all 4 of the triangles -- without cutting through the square -- which different shapes will the cuts make? A plane cut is kind of like a cheese cutter -- it will be straight, not curved.
