MathsGee is on a mission to help learners thrive in STEM, thus it is always looking for innovative ways to better support our users. 

Through user feedback, we realised that most learners struggle to write maths online, it requires you to be proficient in latex, so we looked for ways to solve this problem.

Using the latest AI powered optical character recognition (OCR), we managed to come up with a solution that allows users to not only ask questions using text but they can simply take a photo of a math problem and it will be converted into Latex math syntax. Once that is done, then the syntax is used to search the MathsGee database.

Basically, MathsGee is using OCR to accurately convert images of simple and complicated printed/handwritten maths, text, tables and chemical diagrams. The supported formats are as follows:

Printed Math

Handwritten Math

MathsGee image search is an intelligent camera application. The functionality uses Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to read text and math from images and pdfs. MathsGee is a fast and reliable way to obtain text from user submitted images. This text is then used to search databases of curated content, allow users to find scientific educational content they are looking for by simply taking a picture of a homework problem.
