Quality Councils are statutory bodies responsible for quality assurance within specific sectors of the education and training system. There are three QCs in South Africa: the Council on Higher Education (CHE), the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO), and the Umalusi Council for Quality Assurance in General and Further Education and Training.
