Mean income = (1 080 + 2 000 + 1 580 + 1 540 + 2 500 + 1 800 + 1 580) / 7 = (12080/7) = R1725.71

Variance = (s^2) = (sum(x - mean)^2) / (n - 1)

               = (((1080-1725.71)^2)+((2000-1725.71)^2) + ((1 580-1725.71)^2) + ((1 540-1725.71)^2) + ((2 500-1725.71)^2) + ((1 800-1725.71)^2) + ((1 580-1725.71)^2)) / (7 - 1)

               = 1174171 / 6

               = 195695.2.

Standard deviation, s = 195695.2

                                   = 442.3745

                                  = R442.37
