Saving money is not investing. Saving involves keeping money without growth in its value, while investing is meant to grow the value of the money.

Investing is the deliberate action of taking some of your money and attempting to make it grow / multiply by acquiring things you think will increase in value, while saving involves putting money aside, bit by bit.
