A 25N force in the North West direction  was exerted on an object whilst another 30N force was exerted in the Easterly direction. What is the resultant force?

Fxnet = 30N + 25N cos(135deg)

         = 30 - 17.68

         = 12.32NE

Fynet   = 25N sin(45deg)

           = 17.68N

Resultant = Sq of (Fnet)x ^2 + (Fnety)^2

                  = sq of (12.32)^2 + (17.68)^2

                  = 21.55N
