Electromagnetic radiation is a form of energy propagated through free space or through a material medium in the form of electromagnetic waves.

Electromagnetic radiation has the dual nature: it exhibits wave properties and particulate (photon) properties.

An electromagnetic wave is an energy wave that has both a magnetic field and an electrical field.  These waves can have different frequencies and wavelengths and span from Gamma rays to Radio waves.

They also include a rage that we call visible light. Visible light is a very small part of the spectrum.

These can travel though both medium and vacuum. They also behave like both waves and particles. This is what is meant by the dual nature of the electromagnetic wave spectrum.
