Please help me with this simultaneous equation below.

 

$$4x + y = -5 \\

-3x +4y = 18$$

From eqn 1, y= -5-4x

                      -3x + 4(-5-4x)=18

                        -3x-20-16x=18

                                    -18x= 38

                                           x= -2.11

then y= -5-4(2.11)

            = -13.44
