GIS focuses on capturing, storing, checking, and displaying data related to positions on earth's surface.

To accomplish this process, principles of physics, such as signal processing and mapping through use of elements like reflection and rare-fraction properties of sound, light and other waves, will be a useful combination tool to generate the results.

Therefore physics will work hand in hand with GIS.
