$n$, number of trials = 25,

$p$, probability of success,

$q$, probability of failure
$p = 60% = 0.6$ therefore

$q = 1 - 0.6 = 0.4$
$\text{Hits} = n \times p = 25 \times 0.6 =  15$ Successful throws

 

2. $s$, Square root of $n \times p \times q$

        $= \sqrt{25 \times 0.6 \times 0.4}$

        $=\sqrt{6}$

        $= 2.45$
