$\left(4 x^{3}-2 x^{2}-10\right)-\left(5 x^{3}+x^{2}+x+5\right)$

$=4 x^{3}-2 x^{2}-10-5 x^{3}-x^{2}-x-5$

$= -x^{3}-3 x^{2}-x-15$
